These Terms apply to all orders, bespoke commissions and services provided by Etmelo (ABN 41 139 428 360). They set out your rights under Australian Consumer Law and our obligations as a supplier of made-to-order and handcrafted furniture across Australia.

Terms of sale & contract formation

Orders for made-to-order items (bespoke furniture) are accepted when Etmelo issues an order confirmation in writing. Quotations are valid for the period specified and may be withdrawn. A deposit may be required for commencement of work on custom pieces.

Prices are in AUD and include GST where applicable. Deposits secure production slots and are non-refundable except where required by law. Final payment is due prior to delivery unless otherwise agreed.

Custom specifications agreed in writing form part of the contract. Requests for changes after acceptance may affect price and lead times. We will always seek to agree variations in writing.

You must inspect delivered goods promptly. Any non-conformity or damage must be notified within a reasonable time to preserve rights under statutory guarantees.

Australian consumer guarantees & warranty

Our products are covered by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Under the ACL, consumers are entitled to guarantees including that goods are of acceptable quality, fit for purpose and match descriptions. These guarantees are in addition to any manufacturer or artisan warranties offered by Etmelo.

Fabric, timber and finish variations are natural and expected. They are not faults unless they materially affect function or safety.

Warranty period

We provide a standard 5-year structural warranty on residential timber joinery and a 12-month warranty for upholstery and surface finishes, unless otherwise specified in writing.

Returns, refunds & cancellation

Due to the bespoke nature of many of our products, cancellations after production commencement may incur charges. Refunds and returns are handled in accordance with the ACL. If you believe goods are not as described or have a major failure, contact us immediately.

We will assess and propose a remedy (repair, replacement or refund) consistent with ACL.
Where repair is agreed, we will organise return/collection logistics and timing.

Delivery, title & risk

Delivery estimates: Lead times for custom pieces vary. Estimated delivery windows are indicative; we will advise confirmed dates once production is scheduled.

Risk & title: Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery. Title remains with Etmelo until full payment is received.

Shipping & access: Customers must ensure delivery address has adequate access. Additional costs may apply for stairs, lifts or remote locations.

Dispute resolution & governing law

We aim to resolve disputes quickly and fairly. If you have a complaint:

Should formal proceedings be necessary, the laws of Victoria, Australia govern these Terms and any proceedings will be in the appropriate courts of Victoria, unless otherwise required by statute.
